Human Resource Intern
- Assist in day to day operations, such as answering phones, returning e-mail enquiries, scheduling interview appointments, auditing interviews and assisting with follow up.
- Assist with projects such as data collecting and assessment as well as coordinating scheduled fairs (benefit, safety, job, open house etc.).

Provide secretarial, administrative, project assistance, and other clerical duties as assigned.
- Exhibit organizational skills, goal setting and completion of assigned tasks
- Must possess strong computer skills, be proficient in filing and organization, able to maintain confidentiality, and have good interpersonal skills
- Must be mentally alert and have the ability to effectively plan and organize assignments efficiently. He/she must be able to work under stressful situations.
- Must be extremely accurate in performing work assignments
- Punctual, organized, finishes assigned tasks in a timely manner, good interpersonal skills.
- Expected to present a neat and well groomed appearance as this is a direct reflection of the employee’s professionalism and the Agency’s attitude toward its’ staff, patients, perspective employees, and the public.
As an intern in Human Resources at the VNA you can expect to receive a well rounded, hands on experience in the employment process. This would include everything from recruiting, writing ad copy, reviewing applications and resumes, setting up interviews, reference and background checks, selection of candidates and setting up new employees for orientation. The experience will also include a project to work on from beginning to implementation. This could be a wellness day, safety fair, benefits fair, or any other agency wide Human Resource project.
