On February 5, VNA Home Health staffers joined the American Heart Association to celebrate Wear Red for Women Day. This annual event serves both as an educational opportunity and a fun day for individuals and businesses. The Heart Association wants women to know that heart disease is our number-one killer, but that there are many things that we can do to improve our heart health. So, in addition to encouraging participants to wear red and jeans to celebrate, lots of great information and helpful tips from the Association were made available our employees. Many thanks to everyone who participated and made donations, which were divided between the Heart Association and the VNA Foundation. Visiting Nurses Home Care also participated, and our donations were added to theirs and presented to the American Heart Association in memory of Deborah Greene.
We also celebrated Seba Varughese’s birthday on February 5 – thank you to Seba for sharing her delicious cake with the ladies in red.
